I've read 'Garp' more times than I can count and I'm glad I get a chance to read 'Lonesome Dove' finally, especially considering how much you liked it.
I can't wait to see what you think of Lonesome Dove. It is wonderful (you actually should read the whole series at some point). It made my top ten list of all time. And I'm not a 'westerns' reader - but McMurtry is just so darn good at character development!
